The Remakri site of Thanchi upazila in Bandarban district is a Marma settlement originally on the outskirts of the Sangu River. In the Marama language, ‘khum’ means waterfall. Three hours’ walk from Remacri is a wonderfully beautiful waterfall called ‘Nafakhum’.
This is the nafakhum created by the water flow of the Remakri canal. The flow came down to the nakhkhum and was reduced to about 25-30 feet. Nature has created a wonderful waterfall! Rainbow colors play in the stream of water in the sun! During the monsoon, the flow of the Remakri canal is not less. It is almost like the Sangu River in Ujjain.
In terms of volume of water flow, Nafakhum is the largest waterfall in Bangladesh.
Amiakhum is one of the beautiful waterfalls in Bangladesh. It is an adventurous place to travel and every traveller should have a tour plan to visit this beautiful tourism spot of Bandarban at least once.
This waterfall, situated at a remote area called Tindu of Thanchi upazilla under Bandarban Hill District in Bangladesh is near to the Bangladesh-Myanmar border.

Itinerary Details
Possible description of travel: Day-0 We will make the bus from Dhaka to Bandarban. Day-1 In the morning we got off the bus as fast as we could. Then we will reach Thanchi in Chand's car. I will get on the boat as soon as the commission is done. Lunch will be on the boat (packet meal). From there, it is a 5-8.5 hour cloud walk. Today we will be at Harishchandra Para. Lying in the clouds hugging dinner. We will have breakfast here in the morning. Then set out on a journey to Thusa. Day-2 After 4 hours trekking we reach Thaisa Para. With a little relaxing amiakhum this way. It will take like two or three hours to walk. There is a rough all-day plan. In the inaccessible area so I can take lunch with whatever is available. Satvikhum, Velakhum will be back in the afternoon or evening, again Thuisapara. Nocturnal stay in Thusa. But if you can return, I'll go ahead and stay on the other side, keep the path short. Then after dinner I will return to Dhaka by night bus.
